Sod install

Start
A new home owner was looking to make the backyard useable. This area was a giant willow tree along with a bunch of ivy and no grass to speak of. He had a company come in and take out the tree and Ivy, Once that was completed we took over. We cleared out the rest of the debris and stump grindings to prep the area for some fresh SOD.

Process
Once the area was clean of all debris we brought in some top soil along with some lime in fertilizer to help condition the soil to more favorable growing conditions. With everything ready to go we brought in the sod and rolled it out to cover the desired area. It is important to take the right steps so that you can have the highest chance of success. from bringing in extra trop soil along with tilling the land and smoothing out the surface all this aloud for the lawn to be level with no sunken spots.

Finish
We were very pleased with the final product of our hard work. when planting fresh sod you want to allow it to take root and grow before putting down the first cut. this can take two weeks or more. I will say the longer you wait the better the outcome. As you don’t want to strain the turf any more then it needs to be during its process of being established.
